The IEEE 802.11g PCI Card from Cables To Go is a wireless PCI Card that offers 54Mbps data rate with 2.4GHz frequency from the latest IEEE 802.11g Wireless Standard. This 802.11g PCI card operates in the 2.4Ghz frequency band similar to 802.11b, but provides a throughput of up to 54 Mbps by using a different radio technology in order to boost overall bandwidth. The card offers peer-to-peer connection via desktop Ethernet LAN/WAN connection. It is backwards compatible with devices on 802.11b standard, and can easily connect to routers or access points on the 802.11b or 802.11g standard. The PCI card is user-friendly and easy to setup. It also offers protection via industry standard WEP (Wired-Equivalency Privacy) 64bit or 128bit of encryption.
