The LavaPort-PCI has all the speed advantages of the LavaPort-ISA, but resides on the faster PCI bus. This allows the LavaPort-PCI to utilize the shared interrupt structure of the PCI architecture, access some non-standard Com addresses, while freeing-up an ISA slot.
